Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Nurse Leader to facilitate patient placement, coordinate staffing across shifts, and serve as a clinical and administrative resource. The role includes bed triage, patient flow optimization, and collaboration with physicians and staff to maintain efficient hospital operations.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, at least three years of clinical experience, and leadership experience. RN licensure and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills and analytical ability to interpret and enforce policies.
• Knowledge of current bed statues within the Medical Clinical Service Group.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating staffing across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervises hospital activities in the absence of administrative personnel.
• Staffing: coordinate and prioritize unit staffing and resourcing temporary staff.
• Bed management: triage patients and assign beds per level of care.
• Patient flow coordination: improve throughput and manage red alerts, code events and emergencies.
• Collaborates with unit secretaries and nurses to optimize staffing and resources.
