Job summary

Optum in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Supervisor, Clinical Operations to lead and coordinate the daily operations of the department support staff, ensuring efficient patient flow and accurate scheduling and insurance verification.

You will train staff, oversee front-line coordination with Patient Care Coordinators and clinicians, monitor quality and regulatory compliance, and contribute to budget planning and policy development.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience, including supervisory/lead capacity.
• Supervision/Management knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of HMOs, PPOs, Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance plans.

Responsibilities

• Supervises support staff, assesses patient needs, and delegates tasks.
• Provides guidance and training for scheduling and frontline activities.
• Supervises clinical staff in Manager's absence and delegates tasks accordingly.
• Develops unit-level plans for financial and personnel resources per shift.
• Ensures customer service and administrative activities for department staff; develops staff.
• Oversees daily staff assignments and operations including hiring, terminations, and training.
• Manages patient flow between frontline staff and clinical staff for efficient transfers.
• Drives quality improvement and collaborates on patient care initiatives across the department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
