Job summary

Victorian Senior Care in Garner, NC is seeking a dedicated supervisor to assist the ED/Administrator in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with licensing rules.

You will oversee medication administration, staff training, care plans, and QA programs, while guiding residents and families and coordinating with the Administrator. This role requires strong communication, a 21+ age minimum, and completion of required certifications within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 6 months of supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds.
• CPR certified or willing to become certified within 60 days.
• Must have or obtain CNA/Personal Care Aide 80-hour certificate within 6 months of hire.
• Must have or obtain 15-hour Medication Aide certificate within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete Medication Aide check-off within 30 days of hire.
• Must obtain Medication Aide Certification within 60 days of check-off.
• No substantiated findings on NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program.
• Must have a clear SBI record.
• Must have two-step TB test with second within two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ED/Administrator in management duties and supervise staff.
• Follow facility policies for medication administration and report errors.
• Develop and implement procedures to determine medication errors and prevention.
• Submit administrative forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Participate in QA programs and facility committees affecting medication care.
• Attend and participate in Care Plan meetings and continuing education.
• Ensure safety precautions are followed and hazardous conditions are reported.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living per Care Plans.
• Maintain residents' dignity and safety; interact with residents, families, and visitors.
• Coordinate with resident care coordinator/Administrator on residents' needs.
• Arrange coverage for call-ins and update work schedules as needed.
• Ensure staff training is current and documented; monitor halls.
