Oula delivers maternity care built around our patients – offering comprehensive support before, during, and after pregnancy. With fewer C-sections and higher VBAC success rates, our research-backed approach is delivering better outcomes. Our team of trusted midwives, OBGYNs, and dedicated care navigators ensure our patients receive the care they need in the moments that matter most. Since launching in 2021, we've expanded our services to include Preconception and Miscarriage Care, Pregnancy Care, Hospital-Based Delivery, Postpartum Support, and Gynecology. We have 3 clinics in New York, with exciting expansion plans on the horizon! About the role:

We are seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to join our new, tech-enabled, collaborative maternity practice. The ideal candidate is thoughtful, passionate about patient-centric care, and eager to be part of a dynamic, innovative team.

You will help shape Oula's overall patient experience and manage operations at our first Connecticut clinic in Norwalk, CT. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits, offering a unique opportunity to help define and build a best-in-class maternity care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Frontline leadership:

  • Onboard, train, and manage frontline team members
  • Facilitate regular 360 feedback sessions to improve operations
  • Ensure compliance with local healthcare laws and regulations (e.g., maintain up-to-date clinician licensure records)
  • Create work schedules, clinic monthly schedules, and clinician on-call schedules
  • Ensure smooth communication between relevant parties (e.g., partnering hospitals and providers)
  • Respond promptly to patient requests through local team

Operations management:

  • Oversee facilities and office operations
  • Address urgent facility issues and emergencies through on-site support
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships and recommend improvements
  • Manage inventory effectively
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to identify and resolve their needs
  • Collaborate with leadership on projects impacting scaling and future growth, such as:
  • Streamlining inventory management
  • Standardizing teammate file management processes

About You:

  • Passionate about improving maternity care and scaling tech-enabled services
  • A collaborative partner working with clinicians and support teams to build top-tier care
  • Creative problem-solver capable of identifying issues and implementing solutions
  • A proactive doer who can translate feedback into experiments and is willing to pitch in wherever needed
  • Empathetic and emotionally attuned to patient and team member needs
  • Metrics-driven with a focus on results
  • Eager to embrace the challenges and excitement of an early-stage company

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive operational experience
  • 2+ years in management, including hiring, onboarding, and motivating teams
  • Experience managing healthcare facilities, preferably multi-site
  • Ability to prioritize across multiple tasks
  • Experience with process analysis and improvement
  • An understanding of how clinic scheduling impacts staff morale
  • Intermediate computer skills, including creating spreadsheets and presentations to communicate ideas
  • Passion for metrics: defining KPIs, setting goals, and exceeding them
