Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join the Methodist Jennie Edmundson unit for a 12-hour night shift (7p-7a) with every third weekend commitment.

Responsibilities include providing age-appropriate patient care, promoting service excellence, collaborating with physicians, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance within the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• RN license with active certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP) required.
• Minimum two years' experience as a staff nurse; ICU/ER helpful.
• BSN degree preferred or management training coursework.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate care to patients to support treatment plans.
• Promote service excellence and improve patient care and satisfaction.
• Model professional behavior, fairness, reliability and leadership.
• Identify problems, coordinate resources, and liaise with families and physicians.
• Participate in consensus-based decisions and cross-department collaboration.
• Monitor quality indicators and support continuous quality improvement.
