Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network seeks a Medical Office Assistant to support clerical and clinical tasks in a clinic, assisting in examinations under physician direction, and documenting vitals and histories with accurate EMR entries.

You will prep EMR charts, coordinate test results, refill medications as needed, handle patient communications, schedule visits, check in/out patients, and ensure a safe, confidential environment. Some travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of medical office clerical experience.
• Excellent computer skills with Outlook and Excel; EMR and scheduling systems.
• Strong verbal and social skills; travel to other offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow during clinic hours and document vital signs.
• Prepare and review EMR charts to ensure complete patient records.
• Refill medications and pre-authorize as needed with patient, pharmacy, or insurer.
• Manage patient samples, medications, and prepare exam rooms.
• Handle calls, MyChart messages, scheduling, check-in/out, and pre-certifications.
• Maintain safety, privacy, and compliance with clinical standards; travel to other sites.
