Job summary

UPMC in the Dauphin Region is hiring a Full-Time, Clinical Nutrition Coordinator to support hospitalized patients and the interdisciplinary team. The role combines program management with direct nutrition care, requiring clinical leadership and travel as needed.

The schedule is 7:00am-3:30pm with 25% travel to Harrisburg and Community General. You will mentor staff, lead quality initiatives, and ensure budgets and staffing meet goals while advancing nutrition services in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have clinical and leadership experience.
• Experience coordinating nutrition programs.
• Ability to develop budgets and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition education and counseling based on patient needs.
• Participate on interdisciplinary committees and drive care process improvements.
• Develop, implement and evaluate nutrition programs and policies.
• Set goals for Clinical Nutrition to maintain high-quality care.
• Lead professional growth and supervise dietetic staff.
• Deliver quality nutrition care to diverse patients.
• Monitor expenses and staffing levels; oversee outpatient billing for compliance.
• Mentor dietetic students and support personnel.
• Support menu planning and nutrition software.
• Participate in quality process improvement activities.
• Stay updated on healthcare trends."
• Assume manager duties in absence.
• Recruit, hire, train, evaluate personnel.
• Schedule and coordinate daily workflow.
