UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh is seeking a clinical dietitian to join an inpatient nutrition team. New graduates are encouraged to apply as you provide direct Medical Nutrition Therapy to hospitalized patients across units, including transplant and neuro disciplines.

The role focuses on nutrition diagnosis, care planning, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and diet technicians. Expect a busy environment with opportunities for professional growth and specialty certifications.

Qualificações

• Master’s or Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics degree.
• 1–2 years healthcare experience preferred.
• Registered Dietitian certification/licensure required (LDN).

Responsabilidades

• Formulate a Nutrition Diagnosis and identify Malnutrition via Nutrition Focused Physical Assessment.
• Act as nutrition liaison/expert to assigned units and participate in interdisciplinary committees.
• Participate in Quality Process Improvement activities.

As a part of an inpatient team of skilled Dietitians and Diet Technicians, you will provide quality nutrition care to hospitalized patients. Working Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible start time, rotating weekends and holidays
Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care using Medical Nutrition Therapy to assess patients and develop goals and a plan of care.
• Formulate a Nutrition Diagnosis and identify Malnutrition through Nutrition Focused Physical Assessment and the nationally established criteria for identification of malnutrition.
• Accountable as nutrition liaison/expert to assigned units & participate as a member of interdisciplinary committees and projects.
• Participate in department Quality Process Improvement activities.

Job title and salary will be based upon qualifications and career ladder requirements.Qualifications:

• Master's or Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics degree.
• 1-2 years healthcare experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics degree with Registered Dietitian certification obtained before January 1, 2026 with 2 years clinical nutrition experience required. OR Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with Registered Dietitian certification obtained on or after January 1, 2026 with 1 year of clinical nutrition experience required.
