Job summary

The Salisbury VA Medical Center is seeking a Supervisory Dietitian to lead the clinical nutrition section within the Nutrition and Food Service (NFS). You will supervise staff, develop policies, and drive nutrition program improvements aligned with VISN and national goals.

Ideal candidates will have RDN/RD credentials, supervisory experience, and strong data-driven decision-making skills to enhance patient satisfaction and veteran care.

Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership in clinical nutrition settings.
Experience planning goals, objectives, and action plans.
Ability to analyze data to monitor outcomes and progress.
Excellent written communication for policy development and SOPs.
Negotiation and staff supervision capabilities.

Responsibilities

Provides clinical nutrition leadership and acts as advisor to staff and other health professionals.
Oversees HR staffing, employee and labor relations in Clinical Nutrition.
Manages supervision authorities and oversees subordinate staff performance.
Establishes training plans for the clinical section based on evidence-based nutrition.
Develops and leads clinical nutrition operations and strategic initiatives.
Aligns priorities with NFS, VISN, and national programs.
