Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nursing Student for a PRN position in Ohio. The role provides direct patient care under RN supervision and offers exposure through shadowing and delegated activities within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• HS/GED or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in nursing program with at least one clinical course and one rotation completed.
• First Clinical Rotation completed; EPIC EHR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop critical thinking with RN to ensure quality patient care.
• Seek educational opportunities related to nursing practice and critical thinking.
• Provide basic patient care including vital signs, hygiene, mobility and comfort.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
• Deliver high level customer service to patients and families.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Participate in hand-offs and reporting of patient needs.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Assist with data collection: vital signs, intake/output, condition changes.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
• Use clinical technology as applicable and adhere to safety protocols.
• Escalate concerns through the proper chain of command.
