• 13 Operating Rooms in South West Tower on BJH Main Campus
• 3-12 hour shifts (1030-2300)
• No Call
• Cardiac and vascular
• OR experience preferred
• Services include: Cardiac (minimally invasive, heart failure, transplants), Thoracic, robotic, lung transplants, vascular, and endovascular surgery.

Provides direct patient care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing care standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the interprofessional team, patients, families, and caregivers, ensuring communication across care continuum.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural backgrounds.
• This position is safety-sensitive; the ability to work alertly and safely is essential.
