Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital serves the health care needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including the Siteman Cancer Center, Breast Health and Women's Center, Cardiology Center, Neurosurgery Center, and Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.
The hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Level II stroke certification. It also hosts medical offices for primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery, and pulmonology. Outpatient services include physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates patients on managing their illness or injury, and participates in activities that support patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations. This position is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices at all times.
