Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Navigator to join the St Joseph's North Behavioral Health team in Lutz, FL. The role focuses on coordinating care for patients within the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) program and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Nursing, an active Florida RN license, and ACLS certification, with at least two years of acute care RN experience. Some experience in behavioral health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Two years RN experience in Acute Care or related field.
• Florida RN license required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certificate required.
• Certification in related nursing specialty within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the coordinator for patient care in their specialty.
• Provides support, education, referrals, and coordination of care for patients and families.
• Facilitates integrated care through communication with interdisciplinary team members.
• Coordinates efforts between physicians, administration, family and staff while tracking patient progress.
• Promotes evidence-based clinical care and excellence in outcomes.
• Assists in pre-, intra-, and post-operative care of ECT program patients.
• Collaborates with ECT Psychiatrist and outpatient providers to initiate ECT treatment.

BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced a Clinical Nurse Navigator to join our outstanding and compassionate team at St Joseph's North Hospital in Lutz, Florida ! This position will work within the ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) Program.

The Responsibilities Include:

• Serves as the coordinator for the care of patients in their specific specialties.
• Provides support, education, referrals, coordination of care, and other assistance to the patient and their family prior, during, and following their healthcare experience.
• Facilitates integrated care through communication with strategic members of the interdisciplinary team, collaborate to provide staff education and work closely with patients, families and members of the health care team to optimize patient satisfaction and achieve optimal outcomes.
• Coordinates efforts between physicians, healthcare administration, family, community resources and staff while tracking the progress of the patient throughout their continuum of care.
• Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
• Assists in pre-operative, intraoperative and post-operative care of patients in the ECT Program.
• Collaborates with ECT Psychiatrist and outpatient providers to consult and initiate ECT treatment.

Position Details:

• Location: St Joseph's Hospital North Behavioral Health
• Status: Full time, Exempt.
• Schedule: 40 hours per week. Hours may vary.
• Weekend Work: Occasional
• On Call: No

Education Required:

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing

Experience Required:

• Two Years’ RN experience in Acute Care or Related Field

Preferred Experience:

• RN experience in Critical Care or Procedural Care

Required Licensure and Certification:

• Florida RN License
• Certification in Nursing Specialty to related field or obtain within 6 months
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
