Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse Liaison in a hybrid role. The position conducts clinical assessments of patient referrals and presents findings to physicians for admission, while engaging in marketing activities for hospital services and collaborating with external referral sources and internal teams.

The role requires a Texas RN license with BSN preferred, Basic Life Support certification, and at least 3 years of nursing experience in relevant areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing, vocational nursing or licensed practical nursing.
• Current Texas RN license required; BSN, CRRN, CNRN or CCM preferred.
• Certificate in Basic Life Support required.
• Additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conducts clinical assessment of patient referrals and presents assessment to physicians for admission.
• Participates in ongoing process improvement related to the admissions process.
• Serves as a resource to directors to identify processes that hinder referral source’s ability to use Memorial Hermann as their facility of choice.
• Demonstrates a complete and thorough understanding of programs and can effectively market services.
• Participates in hospital marketing programs, events, conferences or in-services.
• Interacts with external referral sources, social workers, discharge planners, case managers, other healthcare professionals, families and patients; develops strong working relationships with internal staff; maintains confidentiality.
