Job summary

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the patient care team. The RN applies the nursing process, supports the provider’s therapeutic plan, and directs other licensed and unlicensed teammates to deliver holistic, age-appropriate care onsite at WAYNE MED.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure.
• BLS and/or other life support certifications as required by department.
• At least one year of nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care per orders and standards.
• Individualize care plans using professional judgment and update progress.
• Care for patients with complex problems and perform bedside point of care testing as required.
• Collaborate with providers, inter-disciplinary teams, patients and families.
• Follow systems that support nursing process and ensure safe, effective care.
• Mentor and guide others; precept and role model.
