Job summary

UNC Health Wayne is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the patient care team. The RN applies the nursing process to provide professional holistic care, supports providers, and coordinates with licensed and non-licensed teammates to meet patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Responsibilities include planning and documenting nursing care, adapting plans based on patient progress, and delegating tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
• BLS and/or other specialized life support certifications as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Individualizes the plan of care using professional nursing judgment.
• Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems and collaborates with providers and families.
• May act as team leader or charge nurse as assigned.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and maintains a professional demeanor.
