Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking an experienced Assistant Nurse Manager (Venous Access/Infusion Therapy) to lead the nursing team in the Observation Unit. This full-time night-shift role requires clinical expertise, staff mentoring, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will oversee venous access and infusion therapies, coordinate care, participate in performance improvement, and support department goals within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• RN license required in applicable state
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• One year of acute care nursing experience preferred
• One year in charge nurse/leadership role preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee venous access procedures and infusion therapy within RN scope
• Provide education to patients and families about venous access and therapy
• Lead and mentor nursing and support staff; promote safety and quality
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated patient care
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and pursue evidence-based practice
• Support staffing, productivity, and departmental operational goals
