Job summary

Mercy seeks a dedicated nurse educator to support orientation, competency programs and ongoing education for Mercy coworkers at the unit level. You will contribute to in-service and continuing education while fostering partnerships across Mercy’s academic and clinical programs.

The role emphasizes building credibility in evidence-based practice, organizing programs, and collaborating with teams to advance patient care through teaching and technology-enabled learning.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree with 2 years clinical nursing experience, or Associate's degree with 10 years hospital nursing (5 years if RN-BSN enrolled).
• Current valid state license if required in discipline.
• BLS provider.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice with the credibility to positively influence patient care.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; audiovisual equipment knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support orientation, competency programs, in-service education, continuing education at the unit level for Mercy coworkers.
• Foster academic partnerships and career development within Mercy.
• Assist in role transition and integration of technology in patient care.
