Job summary

Veterans Health Administration in West Haven, CT seeks a Clinical Nurse Educator (Registered Nurse) to lead education for nursing staff across hospital units. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) in Nursing - Hospital Education.

The ideal candidate will hold a nursing degree, an active RN license, and experience in continuing education. MSN or CNE is preferred, with strong program development and evaluative skills to improve patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with active U.S. license
• Current, full, active and unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state or territory
• Experience with continuing education program development and evaluation
• Master's degree in Nursing or Nursing Education preferred
• Certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, evidence-based education to nursing staff in ICU and other clinical areas
• Assist with orientation of new employees and evaluate progress with learning plans
• Develop and implement learning plans to improve identified clinical deficiencies
• Curriculum development and educational program evaluation; support quality improvement or patient safety initiatives
