Job summary

Methodist Hospital Landmark in San Antonio, part of the HCA Healthcare family, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for the Surgical Telemetry unit. The CNC will coordinate patient care, guide nursing staff and collaborate with the management team to ensure high-quality outcomes and exceptional patient experiences.

The role emphasizes admitting/discharging processes, staff development, and engagement initiatives while maintaining efficient, patient-centered care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License is required.
• 1 year of Nursing experience requested.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports nursing strategies to improve engagement, including staff rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff and handles performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and manages supplies and equipment.
