Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator at Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Center - North Central in San Antonio, TX. The CNC ensures high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates unit functions during shifts.

You will lead staff, collaborate with management, and support nursing strategies to improve outcomes and engagement. The role requires an RN license, 1+ year perioperative experience, and leadership experience is preferred; BSN is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/BSN is highly preferred.
• 1+ years experience in perioperative healthcare is required.
• 1+ years experience in leadership role is preferred.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment; BCLS certification upon employment; ACLS/PALS as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with management.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork for improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies (employee rounding, hourly rounds) to improve engagement.
• Recommends and implements staff training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
