Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for the Cardiac Tele unit at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, directing nursing activities during shifts, and collaborating with management to improve outcomes and nursing initiatives.

Responsibilities include admissions/discharges, staffing coordination, quality assessment, and training of new staff. A Texas RN license and nursing experience are required.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• RN Diploma, Bachelors Degree or Associate Degree.
• 1 year of Nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create a teamwork-driven environment for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement (e.g., employee rounds, hourly rounds).
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; ensures performance evaluations and disciplinary actions are conducted.
• Assists with staff scheduling; manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
