Endeavor Health seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to lead nursing operations at Evanston Hospital. You will coordinate care, oversee staffing, and support nurses in delivering high-quality patient care.

The role requires RN licensure in Illinois, 2 years of staff nurse experience, and strong clinical and communication skills. Sign-on bonuses apply for eligible candidates; the position is full-time, with rotating day/evening shifts and no weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing, with a Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Two years experience as a Staff Nurse.
• Clinical nursing skills, effective communication, teaching and motivational skills.
• Specialty Board Certification within 2 years of promotion
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in Illinois. Certification in area of expertise preferred.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the functioning of the unit as a Registered Nurse resource and coordinator for clinical and operational issues.
• Collaborates with admitting, Bed Coordinator, and Supervisor to plan timely admissions and transfers.
• Makes rounds to monitor patient condition and changes.
• Coordinates bed control by contacting physicians for early discharge orders.
• Participates in Nursing DIG Committee to improve patient throughput.
• Ensures appropriate unit coverage considering census, acuity and RN: patient ratios.
• Delegates admissions/transfers to appropriate RN and assigns unit tasks.
• Orients agency staff and provides feedback; supports problem solving and resolution.
