Job summary

Endeavor Health with Evanston Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) for a full-time position in Evanston, IL. The role coordinates unit operations, delegates tasks, and supports staff with clinical decision-making, reporting to the Unit Manager.

Requirements include Illinois RN license, BSN preferred, two years as a Staff Nurse, CPR certification, and strong communication/teaching skills. Shifts are Mon-Fri with rotating 7:00am-3:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm; weekends are not required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with RN license in Illinois.
• Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
• Two years' experience as a Staff Nurse.
• Clinical nursing skills, effective communication, teaching and motivational skills.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• Certification in area of expertise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, delegate and communicate to ensure unit effectiveness.
• Serve as resource to nursing and medical staff.
• Facilitate admissions/transfer planning with Bed Coordinator and Supervisor.
• Make rounds and monitor patient conditions.
• Assist in bed control and timely discharge processes.
• Participate in Nursing DIG Committee to improve throughput.
• Ensure adequate coverage based on census and acuity.
• Delegate admissions/transfers and assign staff accordingly.
• Coordinate unit activities during codes and disasters.
