Job summary

MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to oversee nursing care and unit operations during the shift, ensuring high quality, patient-centered care in line with policies and the organization’s mission.

You will work with the management team to monitor outcomes, mentor staff, and coordinate admissions, discharges, staffing, and inventory while upholding patient safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• BSN within 2 years of hire or transfer.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada (NV).
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) required.
• National Certification ANCC – (Required within 6 months).
• 1+ year applicable nursing experience required.
• 1+ year leadership experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of care quality in the unit, with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and better outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Supports engagement efforts by implementing nursing strategies like hourly rounds and staff rounding.
• Makes recommendations on interviewing, selection, and training of new staff; supports action plans.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management.
• Manages inventory control and supplies/equipment.
