Job Summary and Qualifications

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator RN, who reports to the Nursing Director for clinical and operational functions of an assigned unit. You will manage the unit’s clinical and operational activities in the absence of the Director. You will be part of a team committed to supporting each other while providing excellent patient care collaboratively.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all functions during your shift.
  • Collaborate with management to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care according to policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a resource for staff and model organizational values to support patient experience and clinical outcomes.
  • Oversee staff roles and coordinate patient placement based on acuity and staff availability.
  • Identify and address educational needs of the unit.
  • Participate in and lead patient care conferences, including discharge planning.
  • Ensure rounds with physicians are conducted.
  • Monitor patient conditions and make appropriate clinical decisions.
  • Ensure orders are appropriate and executed promptly.

Job Requirements:

  • Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
  • BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start.
  • Preferred: 2 years acute care RN experience.
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, RN Diploma, or Associate Degree required.
  • ACLS and PALS certifications or instructor certifications must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
  • Neonate Resuscitation certification required within 30 days of employment.
