Position Summary

This position collaborates with the healthcare team, patients, and families to promote health through professional nursing care tailored to the patient's age and condition, following evidence-based standards and hospital policies.

Position Duties

1. Conduct nursing assessments considering physical, psychological, social, developmental, and educational factors to evaluate initial compliance with treatment plans. Perform ongoing assessments and identify variations from diagnoses.
2. Evaluate patient responses to care, teaching, and discharge plans. Document progress and communicate with the healthcare team and families to ensure understanding of health status and needs.
3. Ensure compliance with medication, storage, and documentation standards, regulations, and requirements.
4. Orient patients and families to hospital systems, policies, and processes.
5. Supervise and delegate patient care activities to team members, providing feedback to maintain safety, infection control, and performance standards.
6. Collaborate with the care team and families to develop and implement care plans, participating in rounds and conferences.
7. Model best practices and patient-centered care, mentoring students and new staff.
8. Perform other related duties as needed.
