Additional Information About the Role

Answer Line Overview

The Answer Line After Hours Service provides after-hours exchange and nurse triage services for over 400 subscribing community pediatricians in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. RNs utilize triage guidelines, critical thinking skills, and physician preferences to determine the most appropriate care plan for each patient. Services are available Monday-Friday from 4:30pm – 8:00am and 24/7 on weekends.

Location

• Most staff work remotely; office space is available at BJC @ The Commons, 5th floor.
• Staff are expected to work shifts in the call center if experiencing connectivity issues at home.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of nursing experience in Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, pediatric primary care, or telephone triage.
• Work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
• Part-time, 8-hour shifts.
• Shift options include days (7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 10am-6pm) and occasional Saturday afternoons (12pm-8pm or 1pm-9pm).
• Participation in holiday rotation.
