Part-Time, Travel Nurse Clinical Instructor, USA

Position Overview

This role involves traveling up to 100% within the US during clinical rotations, which are not state-specific. Assignments are located across various Nightingale SOFE areas. The position involves approximately 20-22 experiential learning shifts per semester, each lasting about 5 to 5.5 weeks.

Salary

The starting budgeted salary for this position is $43,000. Salary progression is based on a faculty ladder system, which includes levels from Instructor to Professor, determined at the time of offer based on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate on-ground nursing education at various SOFE sites, including clinical, simulation, and skills labs.
  • Teach and evaluate students in Practical Nursing, Baccalaureate, and Master’s Degree Nursing Programs.
  • Maintain communication with learners regarding attendance, performance, and evaluations.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and decision-making processes.
  • Deliver instruction across different modalities as needed.
  • Contribute to other functional projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution with 0-1 year of relevant experience.
  • Active RN or APRN license, with the ability to obtain multi-state licensure.
  • Certification as a Nurse Educator (CNE) or willingness to obtain within one year.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in the past five years.
  • Experience supervising clinical education preferred.
  • Familiarity with learning management software (Canvas preferred).
Additional Requirements
  • Position requires 100% travel to on-ground clinical teaching sites across the US.
  • Full-time employees must attend in-person orientation and annual conference, with travel and lodging provided.
