Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC is seeking a full-time night/Day shift Clinical Mentor RN who coordinates orientation and competency validation for unit staff. You will lead the nursing team, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff, and promote high-quality patient care while upholding the Nursing Practice Act and organizational standards.

The role requires a BSN, SC RN license, and 2+ years in specialty areas, with national certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 2 years of experience in areas of specialty within the past 5 years.
• Current RN license to practice in South Carolina.
• National nursing certification in specialty at time of hire or within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation, training and competency validation of unit staff.
• Provide ongoing leadership, support and guidance to nursing staff.
• Promote patient health status through nursing processes and collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Document accurately to maintain continuity of care and protect patient information.
• Lead process and performance improvement activities and mentor staff.
• Foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration on the unit.
