Job summary

Lexington Health in West Columbia, SC, is seeking a dedicated SICU/CVICU nurse for a full-time day shift. The role emphasizes leadership and mentoring of unit staff within a Magnet-recognized care environment.

You will coordinate orientation, validate competencies, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality patient care while documenting thoroughly and maintaining confidentiality as required by the SC Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in areas of specialty within the past 5 years.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina; national nursing certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire/promotion.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates orientation, training and competency validation of unit staff.
• Provides ongoing leadership, support and guidance to all nursing staff.
• Documents all patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and upholds ethical standards.
• Leads process and performance improvement initiatives and mentors staff.
