Zusammenfassung

Patient First is seeking a Frontline Medical Office Assistant to support physicians and nurses by locating patients, taking vital signs, triaging, and preparing patients for exams. You will operate the EMR, order labs and supplies, and assist with treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include 18+, high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of clinical experience preferred, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, CPR training, and the ability to multitask and work

Qualifikationen

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum typing experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work.

Aufgaben

• Locating patients, obtaining vital signs by visual and auditory measures, triaging, and preparing patients for exams and treatments.
• Understanding and using the electronic medical record system.
• Ordering lab tests, x-rays, and medical supplies as directed.
• Notifying the Nurse/Physician when patient is ready for exam and relaying questions.
• Assisting Nurses and Physicians with patient care and treatments.
• Handling requests promptly and with respect.
• Performing lab duties and phlebotomy as assigned.
• Sterilizing and setting up instruments; restocking treatment rooms.
• Reporting to the Charge Nurse before leaving the shift.
• Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to OSHA guidelines.
• Attending staff meetings and using medical and office equipment as trained.
• Being available to assist as needed during breaks or interruptions.
• Fostering teamwork and a positive atmosphere.
• Providing friendly service in all interactions.

Ausbildung

High school diploma or equivalent

1 year clinical experience preferred

18 years or older

Typing experience
