MercyOne Medical Group in Ankeny, IA is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic. You will prepare patients, collect vitals, assist with procedures, and document plans of care under supervision.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, certification within a year, BLS within 3 months, and strong teamwork in a patient-centered environment.

Formación

• Must complete an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Must obtain CMA/RMA/NCMA/CMA/CCMA or NRCMA within one year of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver patient care with preparations, vital signs, and documentation.
• Assist with procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment while maintaining asepsis.
• Administer medications and immunizations under provider direction.
• Prepare and organize patient charts and communicate test results.
• Coordinate schedules, referrals, and follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines.
• Educate patients and families; promote evidence-based nursing practice.
