Job summary

Qualifications

• Successfully completed first semester in an accredited nursing program.
• Successfully completed a medical assistant or patient care technician program.
• A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or Patient Care Technician certification may be substituted for the educational requirement.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients to exam rooms and assist providers.
• Retrieve voicemails, document medical information in EHRs, and maintain patient records.
• Coordinate tests, imaging, and appointments; handle referrals and prior authorizations.
