Job summary

Vitalogy Skincare is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed providers in clinical and surgical settings in Georgetown, TX. You will perform patient intake, vital signs, room preparation, injections, specimen collection and documentation.

The role requires maintaining sterile technique, patient comfort and HIPAA compliance, with potential to float between locations. Ideal candidates have 1+ year medical setting experience, CPR certification, and an MA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• One (1)+ year experience in a medical setting, dermatology practice preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Medical Assistant certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate during patient exam and treatment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Record patients' medical history, medications, allergies, vital statistics and test results.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician following safety protocol.
• Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens and prepare for testing.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians' instructions to patients.
• Assist physician with procedures, handing instruments and performing injections.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterile field.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Participate in department quality improvement activities.
