Job summary

ARC Georgetown in Georgetown, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support nursing staff by performing patient prep, taking vitals, and assisting with exams under supervision. You will document in EPIC EMR, handle refill requests, and participate in triage calls.

Requires a high school diploma and either Medical Assistant training or CNA/EMT/PCT experience with direct patient care; certified MA preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and a team‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant experience, or CNA/EMT/PCT providing direct patient care, beyond Activities of Daily Living.
• Graduate of a medical assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, takes and documents vital signs and prepares patients for provider exam.
• Administers medications under physician direction and within scope of practice.
• Performs diagnostic testing such as EKGs, audiograms, typanograms, spirometry, and visual screenings; documents in EPIC EMR.
• Reviews provider refill in basket and assists with daily medication refill requests.
• Reviews EPIC triage call in basket for callbacks and patient communication.
• Maintains stocked rooms and expiration-traceable supplies; cleans patient areas.
• Posts patient test results through MyChart portal; follows ARC refill protocols.
