Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate during exams and treatment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vitals.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare for physician.
• Record medical histories, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare for testing.
• Explain procedures, medications, diets, wound care instructions to patients.
• Assist physicians by handing instruments and performing tasks like injections and suturing.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterile fields.
• Assist with surgical procedures while maintaining sterile field.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests/admissions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and document procedures.
• Respond to emergencies per policies and protocols.
