Job summary

This role emphasizes patient flow, accurate charting, and coordination of referrals within the revenue cycle. Prior healthcare exposure is preferred; bilingual abilities and EMR experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Clinical Program or six months of clinical healthcare experience.
• Basic Life Support certification or obtain within three months.
• Two years of medical office experience (preferred).
• Bi-lingual (preferred).
• Experience with electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Controls and monitors patient flow to maximize efficient use of providers and exam rooms.
• Prepares medical records for patient visits and verifies identifiers.
• Provides high-quality customer service in all patient interactions.
• Maintains safe, clean clinical environment for patients and families.
• Assists with examinations and procedures as needed.
• Performs vital signs and documents patient information.
• Manages referrals and prior authorizations as requested by provider.
