Qualifications

• Basic Life Support Certification is required or must be obtained within three months.
• Two years of medical office experience and bilingual abilities are preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Controls and monitors patient flow to maximize efficient use of providers and exam rooms.
• Prepares medical records for patient visits and verifies data.
• Provides high-quality customer service in all interactions.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment for patients and families.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares them for provider visits.
• Performs vital signs and documents patient information.
• Performs specimen collection and Point of Care Testing as ordered.
• Assists with diagnostics and procedures under supervision.
• Assists with patient billing by documenting CPT/diagnosis codes.
• Maintains supplies and stock in clinic rooms.
