Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for Wake Forest Health Network: Advance Hillsdale - Family Medicine. The role supports patient exams, overseers vitals, and coordinates care with nurses and physicians in a busy outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen collection, administering routine medications, and maintaining efficient clinic flow under supervision of physicians and APPs. Strong communication and EMR skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as various exams and tests.
• Administers routine medications under physician orders or standing orders.
• Maintains effective communication with the health care team and patients to ensure smooth clinic flow.
• May perform clinical support tasks under supervision as needed.
