Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or CHDP certificate within six months of hire: Preferred
• Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy: Required

Responsibilities

• Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients and maintains a patient recall system
• Answers phone, takes messages and directs calls; verifies insurance and patient information
• Prepares referrals, obtains authorizations and coordinates schedules
• Obtains billing, insurance and other demographic information; digitizes films and files
• Keeps waiting rooms neat and organized; assists with department reports and materials
