Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in a clinical setting. You will perform patient care duties, assist with examinations, and manage essential administrative tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include taking medical histories, preparing patients for exams, administering medications, triaging calls, and entering data into the EMR. Strong communication and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum age 17.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with certification exam or completion of a two-year MA program and certification.
• Previous medical office experience required.
• Spanish language ability is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and nurse with examinations and minor procedures.
• Record medical history and prepare patient for examination.
• Administer medications and injections as ordered.
• Triaging patient calls and directing patient care as needed.
• Preload patient data into the EMR and coordinate with scheduling.
• Maintain exam room stock and sterilize instruments; schedule procedures.
