Job summary

Medical Affiliates of Cape Cod is seeking a personable Medical Assistant to support the MACC Slater Practice in Hyannis. Under supervision, you will assist with patient intake, vital signs, rooming, notes, and basic clerical tasks to keep care moving smoothly.

The role requires English communication, a certified Medical Assistant credential (AAMA or NHA), BLS, and prior clinical experience. Work 24 hours per week, with weekday day shifts, no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
• AAMA or NHA Medical Assistant certification required.
• Completion of a post-secondary medical assisting program.
• Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Experience with office technology including EMR and MS Office.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing clinical care as delegated by supervising provider.
• Manage provider’s daily schedule and patient flow.
• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms; verify patient identifiers.
• Input clinical information into the EHR timely and accurately.
• Assist with procedures and tests; communicate visit status to the provider.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Administer routine injections as delegated and document.
• Participate in meetings and trainings to improve patient care quality.
