Job summary

Cape Cod Healthcare in Massachusetts seeks a Medical Assistant to support the MACC practice under a supervising provider. You will manage patient flow, take vital signs, document in the EHR, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate has an MA certification, performs injections and clerical duties, and can float to other MACC practices as needed. 40 hours weekly, no weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Medical Assistant certification from AAMA or NHA.
• Post-secondary medical assisting program required for PCP Office.
• Basic Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Experience with EMR, MS Office, and office technology.
• Two years’ clinical setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing clinical care as delegated by supervising provider.
• Manage provider’s daily schedule and patient flow to expedite care.
• Greet and escort patients, verify identifiers, and communicate task status.
• Obtain vital signs and input information into the EHR timely.
• Assist with procedures and tests; inform patients of visit status and delays.
• Prepare exam rooms, maintain supplies, and notify for orders as needed.
• Administer routine injections under supervision and document accurately.
• Participate in meetings and trainings to improve patient care quality.
• Learn community resources and stay current with healthcare system.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and CCHC policies.
• Provide clerical support: scheduling, registration, scanning, calls, etc.
