Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the CTI Clinic. The role focuses on assisting physicians and nurses, managing patient flow, and performing clinical and administrative tasks to support efficient care delivery.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or GED, obtain CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA within six months, and have BLS/CPR certification. Prior ambulatory care experience and EMR proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is preferred.
• Current certification in one of CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA with onboarding timeline within six months.

Responsabilités

• Assists with patient flow: escorts to exam room, collects vital signs, documents reason for visit, updates allergies and meds, and informs care team of changes.
• Assists practitioners with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and other procedures per protocols.
• Maintains exam rooms and supplies, disinfects equipment, and supports inventory management.
• Interacts with patients professionally to enhance satisfaction and supports billing and administrative tasks.
