Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. You will support physicians and nurses, facilitate patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and perform routine procedures under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, are eligible for CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certification within six months, and hold BLS. Strong computer skills and 0–2 years’ experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certification must be attained within six months of employment.
• BLS/CPR certification is required.
• 0–2 years of related experience is preferred.
• Strong computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensures efficient patient flow, escorts to exam room, and documents visit details.
• Assists practitioners with ECG, venipuncture, immunizations, and related tasks.
• Prepares and stocks exam rooms; maintains inventory and equipment.
• Interacts professionally with patients and care team to support satisfaction.
• Performs delegated procedures as per specialty guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
