Job summary

Valley Health System (New Jersey) seeks a Medical Assistant to perform patient intake, blood draw, EKG and pharmacy calls, while documenting accurately in EMR and supporting front desk tasks. This role requires collaboration with practice staff to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with an approved MA program and current MA certification (AMT/AAMA/NCCT); prior clinic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved Medical Assistant program recognized by the State of New Jersey; coursework in office management, database management or business.
• Current and valid Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification (AMT, AAMA, NCCT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs and pharmacy calls as directed.
• Accurately document in EMR per licensure and VMG policies.
• Support front desk tasks: patient registration, billing, and insurance processes.
• Coordinate care with practice staff to ensure proper workflow and safe visit protocols.
