Job summary
Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ seeks a Medical Assistant to perform patient intake, blood draw, EKGs, and tests ordered by providers, while documenting in the EMR with accuracy and courtesy. You will support staff to ensure smooth workflow and safe visit protocols.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completion of an approved MA program, and current certification (AMT/AAMA/NCCT). Prior clinic experience and strong customer service are required to assist with registration, billing
Qualifications
- Formal Medical Assistant program completed with state-recognized coursework.
- Current MA certification (AMT, AAMA, or NCCT) required.
- Experience in clinical and front desk settings preferred.
- Strong EMR and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals in a courteous manner.
- Draw blood, perform EKGs, and complete tests as directed.
- Document accurately in EMR per policy and licensure.
- Support front desk with patient registration, billing, and insurance tasks.
