The Coquille Indian Tribe in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical staff and ensure smooth patient flow. Duties include updating charts, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, administering vaccines, and maintaining sterile environments.

Flexibility to cover Medical Receptionist or Medical Records Technician roles as needed. Required CMA/CNA certification within 1 year, outpatient clinic experience, and proficiency with Electronic Health Records.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with electronic health records systems.
• HIPAA knowledge and medical confidentiality.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• CMA or CNA certification within 1 year of hire.
• Outpatient clinic experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Phlebotomy and immunization experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet and direct visitors; prepare patients for visits.
• Update charts and record vitals; ensure accuracy.
• Administer vaccines and medications as directed.
• Perform EKGs, ear lavage, and specimen collection.
• Process medical records, referrals, and authorizations.
• Maintain lab equipment and autoclave temperature.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments and coordinate reminders.
• Support Medical Receptionist and Medical Records Technician as needed.
• Maintain supply inventory and ensure confidentiality.
