Job summary

ACES in Pomona, CA is seeking a Clinical Manager, Treatment Initiation to lead initial intake assessments and set ABA treatment objectives using evidence-based techniques across clinic, home or telehealth. The role guides transitions to the treatment team and oversees first-hour allocations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ABA, psychology, education, social work or related field and BCBA certification or license.
• 3+ years (5+ preferred) of clinical supervision experience as a BCBA.
• Preferred: 5+ years’ experience with ASD or other special needs.
• Preferred: 5+ years training/education related to ASD.
• Valid driver’s license or access to reliable transportation.
• Background check, TB test, LiveScan or similar clearance.
• Comfortable working across home, community, school, clinic and military environments.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to lead small groups.

Position Summary

The ACES Clinical Manager, Treatment Initiation (TM) is primarily responsible for utilizing evidence-based ABA assessment techniques to evaluate clients for ABA services. The ACES Treatment Initiation Manager provides the initial in-person or telehealth clinical intake meeting and sets forth ABA treatment by identifying long-term objectives of the client and their family.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Provides timely and accurate assessments to clients in the clinic, home, community, or on telehealth.
• Utilizes evidence-based ABA assessment techniques.
• Transitions clients from initial intake to their treatment team and monitors utilization of recommended hours during the first authorization period.
• Assists the Vice President of Clinical Service Delivery and Assessment Coordinator with ongoing trainings.
• Reviews treatment overview, processes, and expectations with the family and keeps the care team updated regarding status of assessment.
• Prepares and submits a final ABA assessment report using approved case-specific templates.
• Stays informed of ABA assessment and evaluation techniques and tools by attending ongoing trainings.
• Reviews quarterly outcome data from their region and collaborates on clinical strategy elevation.
• Assists Clinical Director with supporting challenging clinical cases to influence positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with only general supervision.
• Minimum Master’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis, psychology, education, social work, or other related field; and BCBA certification or clinical license.
• 3+ years (5+ years preferred) of clinical supervision experience as a BCBA.
• Preferred: 5+ years’ experience working with clients with ASD or other special needs.
• Preferred: 5+ years training and/or education related to ASD.
• Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation.
• Background check, tuberculosis test, LiveScan fingerprint and any other funding source required clearance.
• Comfortable working in home, community, school, clinic, and military base environments.
• Comfortable working in group settings and leading small groups of staff and clients.
• Strong desire to support and develop skills and abilities of staff.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 25 pounds.
